Guided tours of the Velsen adventure mine - experience mining live in Saarland

Join us on a journey back in time through the world of coal mining. Experience technology, history and goosebump-inducing moments underground on a guided tour that you won't forget in a hurry.

Public guided tours at the weekend

You can take part in a guided tour as an individual visitor every Saturday and Sunday at 2 pm. Duration: approx. 1.5 to 2 hours. And if you like, you can also book a hearty miner's snack (Lyoner, Weck, mustard).

Guided tours for groups and school classes

You can also book your own guided tour as a group on any day of the week between 9 am and 5 pm. We offer special rates for school classes and youth groups.

Multilingual guided tours possible

We also offer guided tours in English, French, Russian or Italian on request.

Prices for groups (lump sum up to 12 persons)

180 € - each additional person: child 8 € / adult 15 € (max total 20 persons per group)

Prices for children/youth groups (lump sum up to 28 children + 2 group leaders)

Prices for groups (vocational students, university students, trainees) lumpsum for up to 16 students and 2 group leaders
